For non-emergencies the nearest police station is in Eggborough Village (click here for a map) at 120 Weeland Road. The Station is open from 10 am to 3 pm on Mondays, 9 am to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesdays, 9 am to 1 pm on Wednesdays, 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursdays, 9 am to 4 pm on Fridays and 2 pm to 5 pm on Saturdays, and can be reached either by telephone on 0845 6060 247, or by email at sntselby@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.

Speeding complaint forms

North Yorkshire Police have produced a form, called a Speed Concern Report, which allows any member of the public to report their concerns about speeding in and around the village - the form can be downloaded here, and if you have any concerns about speeding vehicles then you are urged to report them, as it's the best way to get action taken against them.

Transport

The village is served by the number 496 bus which comes through every Monday. It stops by the play park at 10.57 am, then stops at the crossroads at the A19 before going to Selby, arriving there at 11.15 am. The return trip leaves Selby at 2.00 pm and arrives back in West Haddlesey at 2.18 pm.

Mobile library

The village is served by a mobile library which comes every third Wednesday. The library stops at the George and Dragon car park, generally between 12.15 pm and 12.40 pm - see the what's on page for precise dates and times.
